Telegram member scraper: why people who asked beat a member list
A Telegram member scraper pulls names and usernames out of a group so you can message them later. It's fast, and it mostly fills a spreadsheet with people who never asked you for anything. Leadgram works from the other end: it reads public chats 24/7 and brings you the people who wrote that they need what you sell, each scored 0-100 with a reason.

Why · Asks for a provider right now and gives a deadline.
What a Telegram member scraper actually collects
A Telegram member scraper, also sold as a members extractor or audience parser, exports a group's visible member list: display names, usernames where people set one, sometimes a bio. What it can't export is intent. The file tells you who joined a group, not who needs something this week.
There's also a hard ceiling. Admins of groups with 100+ members can hide the member list, and then people who never post are visible only to admins. A channel's subscriber list isn't open to outsiders at all. So plenty of exports come back partial, or empty.
Most of these tools work the same way: they sign in with a Telegram user account, join the group and read the list through the API. That's why they usually ask you to connect an account of your own.
- Group size where admins can hide the list
- 100+ members
- Silent members drop out of view
- All an export gives you
- Names, @handles
- Only where the list is visible
- Channel subscriber lists, to outsiders

Why member lists make poor lead lists
Picture a big chat for marketplace sellers. Export it and you get everyone: people who joined two years ago and muted it, your competitors, a few bots, the admin's friends. Somewhere in there are a handful who need your service right now, and the file doesn't say which.
So you message all of them. Most ignore you, some report you, and the ones who might have bought hear from you on a day they weren't thinking about it. That's the math of cold outreach to a scraped base: few replies, real risk, and no idea why anyone answered.
Freshness is the other problem. A member list is a snapshot of the day you ran it, and buying needs don't wait for your export. Someone asks for a cargo agent on Tuesday and has hired one by Friday. A list you parsed last month can't tell you about Tuesday.
- Everyone who joined, active or not
- No reason to contact any of them
- Members hidden by admins are missing
- Cold DMs that invite spam reports
- Only people who posted a need
- 0-100 score with a reason
- The source message and group, linked
- A warm opener: you answer their question
Ban risk: what mass DMs to a scraped base do to your account
Telegram is blunt about this. Its [Terms of Service](https://telegram.org/tos) forbid using the service to send spam, and its [spam FAQ](https://telegram.org/faq_spam) says people report strangers whose messages they find annoying. When moderators confirm the reports, the account gets limited: usually for a few days the first time, longer for repeat offences.
A limited account can still message people who saved its number and reply to anyone who writes first. Telegram's own advice is to message only people who expect to hear from you. A cold blast to a parsed list is the opposite of that.
| What you do | What Telegram says | Risk to your account (our read) |
|---|---|---|
| Cold DMs to a scraped member list | People report strangers they find annoying; confirmed reports limit the account | High |
| Blasting again after a limit | Repeated offences lead to longer blocks | Very high |
| Messaging people who saved your number | Still allowed while the account is limited | Low |
| One relevant reply to someone who asked in public | Message people who expect to hear from you | Low, if you actually answer the question |
A better Telegram audience: people who asked
Buyers in Telegram say what they need in plain words. A seller asks who can bring a shipment from China. A shop owner wants a cargo agent who handles customs. Leadgram reads those public messages, understands the meaning rather than matching a keyword, and ranks the author by buying intent.
You get the person, the exact message, the group and a reason such as “asks for a cargo agent with customs, has a date”. It works in EN, RU and UK, and no Telegram account is needed to search.
Because Leadgram reads public chats continuously, results stay fresh: a message posted this morning can be in your search today. You're not guessing who might need you. You're answering someone who already said so, which is a much easier first message to write.

Who looks for a Telegram user scraper, and what they really need
Most people who search for a Telegram user scraper don't actually want a list. They want customers, and a list looked like the shortest road there. Here's who usually searches for one, and what gets each of them to customers faster.
Agencies and freelancers want clients. They need people asking for a designer, a developer or help with ads, not every member of a marketing chat.
B2B services such as logistics, accounting or legal want companies with a live problem. One request with a date beats a thousand usernames.
Local businesses want nearby customers: someone in a city chat asking for a dentist, a repair or a tutor.
Community owners want to know their own members. Here a member export makes sense, within the rules above.
If you still need to export group members, do it carefully
Sometimes a member list is legitimate: you run the community, or you want to know who's in your own group. Then treat the export as a map of the community, not a mailing list.
And if the goal is sales, skip the export entirely. Note which groups your buyers sit in, then let a search read those conversations for people who asked. You keep the research value of the list without the ban risk.
Parse groups you own or admin, and say so in the group rules.
Use the list to learn who the community is, not to cold-message it.
Never DM people in bulk from one account. That's exactly what gets reported.
Delete what you don't use, and check your data-protection duties first.

From Telegram audience to scored leads
Once you search by what people ask for, the list builds itself. Save the search to come back to its results, and run it again whenever you want the newest messages. Start with the 80+ leads: they asked directly, often with a date or a budget. The 50-79 ones are still deciding, so a helpful answer beats a pitch.
Export the shortlist to CSV with the score, name, @handle, message, group, date and source link. Then reply from your own account like a person who read their message, because you did.

Frequently asked questions
How do I export members of a Telegram group?
Telegram apps have no export button. You can only list members you can see, as a member yourself; admins see everyone. For your own group, use the member list in group info or a script on Telegram's API, such as Telethon. Leadgram doesn't export member lists: it exports scored leads, people who asked, to CSV.
Can you see all members of a Telegram group?
Not always. Admins of groups with 100+ members can hide the list, so members who never post are visible only to admins. People who write in a public group show up through their messages, and that's what Leadgram reads.
Is it legal to collect Telegram group members?
It depends on your country and on what you do with the data. Under GDPR, a username tied to a real person is personal data, and Telegram's terms forbid spam. This isn't legal advice; our Telegram scraping and GDPR guide covers the details.
What should I do with a member list I already have?
Use it for research, not bulk DMs. It shows which groups your buyers sit in; then search those conversations for people who asked. If the file is messy, the free link and username extractor removes duplicate handles.
Why do mass messages to a scraped list get accounts limited?
Strangers report messages they didn't expect. When Telegram's moderators confirm the reports, the account can only message contacts and reply to people who wrote first, usually for a few days and longer after repeat offences.
