Four ways to search Telegram users
There are four ways to find a Telegram user: by exact @username, display name, phone number, or what they wrote in public chats. Telegram handles the first well, the next two partly. For the fourth, it matches words in public channel posts but does not search groups by meaning or rank authors by intent. Leadgram is built for that.

Telegram username search: exact and partial
A Telegram search by username is the one exact method. Handles are unique, and regular ones are 5 to 32 characters: Latin letters, digits and underscores. A correct one always lands on a single profile.
Partial matches are where it gets shaky. Type the first letters and Telegram suggests a few public accounts that look similar, mixed with channels and bots. One wrong character, a handle the person has since changed, or no handle at all, and the trail ends.
Handles also hide in plain sight. A t.me link in a bio, a channel post or an email signature already contains the username, so check those before you guess spellings.

Search Telegram by name: why global search misses most people
Searching Telegram by name feels natural and rarely works. Display names are not unique, anyone can call themselves anything, and global search shows a short list with no filter by city, company or job.
It also leans on usernames. Plenty of people who write in public groups never set one, and then global search has nothing to match. The person you want can be one tap away in a group and still invisible to search.
Spelling makes it worse. The same person can be Oleksandr, Aleksandr or Sasha, in Latin or Cyrillic letters, and search treats every version as a different name.

Find Telegram users by what they post

Telegram user lookup by phone number: what works
Short answer: Leadgram does not look people up by phone, and no honest tool can do it for you. Telegram's only route is contact sync. Save the number, open Telegram, and the profile appears if the person allows it.
Many people set Who can find me by my number to My Contacts, and then nothing gets around it. Sites that promise an instant phone-to-username database either repeat the contact trick behind a paywall or sell leaked data.
And if your real goal is a sales list, a number is the wrong place to start. It tells you who someone is, not whether they need anything this week.
